Multi-tracking

Remote Recording

Primarily we use hard disk recording at 24bit / 96Khz, but the classic analog reel-to-reel, Re-Vox, can also be used.

Some groups prefer to use standard multi-tracking with a click track, while others require the freedom of live multi-tracking. Whatever demands your group has, our modular studios can accomodate.

We also feature a hardware based MIDI studio with samplers and synthesizers which can be used right alonside your audio tracks.

Our UAD-1 DSP card can be used for classic compression, EQ and other effects.

Our general approach is to record with as little pre-recording processing as possible. For example, instead of applying EQ during the recording process -which cannot be removed-, we prefer to EQ during the mixing stage when a variety of EQ settings can be tailored to track and the mix overall.

From our control room we can send at least 10 entirely independant monitor mixes to musician headphones. So, if desired, everyone can have their own monitor mix.

To make the recording process as streamlined as possible we follow a general procedure. After each record take we are ready with the playback, so performers can immediately audition their work in their headphones without having to interupt their positon in the live room.
